Variable Night Sky Projector
Hoffman’s LM-33-80A

OVERVIEW
Hoffman Engineering’s LM-33-80A is a compact night sky projector system. The unit is calibrated to project four preset levels of Night Sky Illumination (Full Moon, Quarter Moon, Starlight and Overcast).
The unit also has an additional “USER” position that allows for custom levels to be set for unique testing requirements. Internal filters provide a close match to the Spectral Energy Distribution of the Night Sky Spectra. The systems lightweight, compact format makes it an invaluable tool for NVIS evaluations and training. The LM-33-80A, when used with our LM-33-402M (USAF 1951 Medium Resolution Bar Chart), is the ideal choice when performing the MIL-STD-3009 System Level Visual Acuity Test. Calibration Data is supplied in both NVIS Irradiance and NVIS Lux.

Night Sky Illuminance Monitor
Hoffman’s ANV-410

OVERVIEW
Hoffman Engineering has developed a series of portable, battery operated, silicon Photometers/Radiometers with precision ranges and sensitivity to measure night sky illuminance in both the visible and night vision spectrums identify as ANV-410B and TSP-410, these instruments are designed for use in the field to measure ambient illuminance and assist in NVD mission planning.
The TSP-410 is photopically filtered and calibrated to measure and display in Lux. The ANV-410A is filtered and calibrated to match the Class ‘A’ response identified in MIL-L-85762A. The ANV-410B is filtered and calibrated to match the Class ‘B; response identified in MIL-L-85762A. The ANV-410x series radiometers calibrated to and display units in what can be characterized as NVIS Lux. All three instruments operate on four (4) decade ranges of amplification with selection controlled by the front panel range switch. A cover is provided for the detector, permitting the user to zero/null the instrument prior to use.
