Hoffman Cockpit Utility Light

OVERVIEW
The Hoffman Cockpit Utility Light (commonly referred to as a “C-4” light) differs from other designs in that it uses LED’s as its light source.
Among the many benefits of this new design are: greatly improved Illuminance, low current draw, high reliability, “cool” operation and lighter weight. The LED sources used have a rated life of 50,000 hours. Unlike standard incandescent lamps, LED’s can achieve this long life, as there are no filaments to fail due to shock or vibration. NVIS versions are also available in NVIS White or NVIS Green A.

OVERVIEW
These lights provide workstation illuminance in areas where NVIS compatibility is needed.
Lighting can be either NVIS Green-A or Hoffman NVIS White with white being the colour of preferance where colour rendering for tasks such as map reading is important. The lights are lightweight and require very little panel space. Lighting performance exceeds many comparable incandescent lights while requiring significantly less power.

OVERVIEW
Hoffman’s versatile LED Low Profile NVIS Floodlight is suited for a wide variety of lighting applications and is ideal for use under glare shields.
The low profile hood minimizes interference and its rotating mounting bracket allows you to put the light where you need it. The LED light source offers an extremely long operational life with little heat generated at the hood. NVIS General Area Floodlight
NVIS White Floodlight

OVERVIEW
Designed as a replacement for many incandescent floodlights in aviation use, the 723-1211-001 will generally fit the footprint of rectangular, dual or single lamp floodlights used under glare shields, in Navigator Stations and in step risers where a flood of light is needed for safety or work related tasks.
The LED sources are filtered for NVIS White IAW MIL-STD-3009, providing excellent color rendering and superior IR suppression. They are lightweight and use a minimum behind panel clearance making them useful in a multitude of applications. The lights can be mated to our 723-1211-1000 and 2000 series of potentiometers where dimming is desired. While this model is a 28VDC application, alternative voltages can be provided at the request of the user.

OVERVIEW
Hoffman Engineering’s 722-1214-001, High Output Infrared Spotlight Assembly offers the user of Night Vision equipment a supplemental covert illumination source.
The 722-1214-001 IR Spotlight has three times the output of our 722-1059-001 PAR 36 IR Light. The product is a drop in replacement for any existing PAR-46 Spotlight replaces filters used on existing light sources which can be damaged, worn out and affect the lighting performance are no longer necessary.

Hoffman’s 725-1012-001 Low Profile Area Light is a versatile, lightweight and thin LED light source. The light is Dual Mode with both White and NVIS Friendly light output.
Constructed of rugged black anodized aluminium, the unit is engineered to withstand the rigorous environments of air, land and sea applications.
Along with mounting holes designed into the case for hard mounting, a magnetic base is built into the unit making it especially useful for maintenance or mobile operations as it can be mounted to virtually any metal surface. Featuring digital controls for On/Off and dimming, it makes use of the light easy even with gloved hands.

OVERVIEW
Hoffman’s Covert IR Beacon, 728-1027-001, is engineered and built to withstand the harsh and demanding marine environment. Designed specifically for marine use, it is a drop-in replacement for older legacy product.
Hoffman’s High Intensity Beacon is smaller, lighter, and more rugged than existing units in use today. It can be seen from long range in the Near-IR spectrum and is designed to be used with the variable Input Flash Controller*, 730-1005-001. Hoffman’s IR Beacon Product Line is more affordable. patterns, intensities, and flash rates upon request.

Hoffman’s Variable Input Flash Rate Controller, 730-1005-001, is designed to control the Covert IR Beacon, 728 1027-001.
Engineered specifically to withstand the harsh and demanding marine environment, the Flash Rate Controller utilizes waterproof military connectors for a secure electrical connection.
Factory configured for 80/STEADY/20 FPM, this combination system provides a high output, selectable flash rate for the beacon. The Flash Rate Controller can be programmed for a wide range of flash parameters* and the wide-input power functionality provides the unit the versatility to be powered by a wide range of power sources without affecting the device performance.

Hoffman Engineering’s, 721-110X-XXX, Round LED Dome Light is a lightweight, high performance light source. Small and compact, this light requires less than .650” clearance behind the mounting panel.
The highly efficient LED’s provide superior lighting performance when compared with many incandescent dome lights of similar size. The integral lens optics provides a uniform pattern of light, making it useful in work areas, aisles and closets. Portable Low Profile Floodlight
Hoffman’s Portable Floodlight

OVERVIEW
The power-pack provides a Velcro attachment, which may be temporarily installed on the glareshield while the floodlight is similarly installed in the glareshield to flood the instrument panel.
This highly versatile instrument panel floodlight may be used as a renewable substitute for light-sticks. While many aircraft crewstations are awaiting full NVIS modifications, NVG missions must be flown in a safe lighting environment. Hoffman’s portable floodlight is a MIL-STD-3009 compliant substitute for single use light-sticks. The lightweight power-pack contains four “AA” batteries and a potentiometer, which provides full dimming to zero with a tactile “off” position to preserve battery life. Following NVG missions, the pair may be taken from the aircraft and stored for future use. The light is available in compliant Green A or NVIS White.
