Critical light level tests are performed with the quartz-halogen-lamp light source. The source is comprised of a 20-watt quartz-halogen lamp in a heat-sink style housing which is mounted to the integrating sphere.
A 12-inch diameter integrating sphere provides the calibrated light source, which is monitored by three separate silicon detectors.
The white LED’s provides pre-calibrated test levels between 1x10-3 and 20 footcandles.
Signal-to-noise performance is measured using the tungsten source manually adjusted to the single test level of 1x10-5 footcandles (+/- 5%).
