AGS-440 with headlamp assembly
For over 40 years, Hoffman Engineering has supported the photometric needs of the automotive industry. Gonio-photometric and production test stations are available for testing the luminous intensity distribution of headlamps, tail lamps, and all exterior automotive lighting as well as the efficiency of retro-reflective devices. The AGS 400 Series Gonio-Photometers are a family of various sized systems that are designed to match your application as well as your budget. All systems feature Hoffman's menu-driven, Microsoft Windows® based software which includes the capability to run standard SAE, ECE, and JIS automotive lighting test requirements. Optional software and components can be acquired to measure color, effective flash intensity and plot iso-brightness characteristics of light sources (AGS-ISO). The SAE-010 Reflex Test System provides a quick way to check the reflex cavity prior to lamp assembly. Hoffman is capable of making this a fully automated system that includes light source setup, data storage, printing, and data manipulation through a Microsoft Windows environment. Configurations to test to European and Japanese specifications are also available.
Hoffman
Engineering Goniometer Software:
This full-featured, menu-driven
software supports high volume, precision engineering and customized testing in a
Windows® operating environment. It includes routines for SAE testing (ECE
and JIS are also available), calibration, system diagnostics, data storage,
printing and data manipulation. This software is also easily customized for
performing in-house and non-standard tests.
Screens:
The screens are designed to
present maximum information in a logical format. The Main Menu lists fields
describing the test function, test article, operator and other critical
information. Measured photometric values, angular position, specified device
power and measured device power are simultaneously displayed.
"Comments" and "Project" description fields are provided to
fully document testing parameters.
Pull-Down
Menus:
Functions and routines can be executed
from the keyboard or by using "point and click" commands with the
mouse. All results can be viewed instantly form pull-down menus.A versatile database software is resident within Hoffman's
goniometer software to powerfully manage and manipulate the extensive database.
SAE:
SAE test routines and data formats are
incorporated in the standard software. Graphical output is ISO-Candela and
Birdseye-View plots are optional. The system is also capable of testing to JIS
and ECE test requirements.
Customized:
No programming
experience is required to customize testing parameters. Test formats can be
created and designed by loading information into fields. These customized test
routines can be written and saved in pull-down menus.
Flexible architecture provides a functional platform for evaluating to in-house
requirements, special engineering tests and Quality Control criteria.
Output:
Data can be viewed on color screens, saved
to disk or printed out on the system printer. Graphics can also be viewed on the
screen or plotted in a hard copy. All photometric, power, and angular location
data, as well as pass/fail and re-aim locations, are printed in table formats.
Custom formats can also be developed.
Supported
via Modem:
Hoffman's software is
fully supported. A modem and communication software are installed in the
computer so that your system can be serviced and maintained by our staff at
Hoffman Engineering.
