Senior Management

Ron Hayward
President

Ron has been with Hoffman since 2020 and has more than 30 years of experience in P&L, Strategy, Engineering and Business Development. He is veteran of the US Marines with 20 years of service. Ron is a Project Management Professional (PMP), is DAWIA (DOD) certified in Acquisition Program Management & Logistics, holds a MS degree in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a BS degree from the State University of New York (Magna Cum Laude).


Christopher MoherChris Moher
General Manager

Chris Moher has been with Hoffman since 2003. Before Hoffman, he began his career at Retina Systems Inc. holding multiple operations and IT roles within the company, and also owned his own consulting company providing IT solutions to small businesses. Chris has held several positions within Hoffman and was previously VP of Operations. Chris has had P&L responsibility at Hoffman Engineering as Site Director, Managing Director, and General Manager since 2017 and is also serving as acting Business Unit Leader for Lighting. Along with 30 years of manufacturing and operations experience, Chris holds a secret clearance and is Hoffman’s FSO.

Sr Director of Night Vision

Jim has been with Hoffman since 1982 in Hoffman’s Laboratory assisting in the development of Hoffman’s Night Vision Test Equipment and photometric and radiometric testing.   Jim has held several positions within Hoffman, eventually serving as Laboratory Manager from 1989 to 2007.  In 2007, Jim started managing Hoffman’s sales department.  In his current role as Vice President of Night Vision Test Equipment, he is responsible for strategic planning and new product development for the Test Equipment department.  Jim is a board member of the National Association of Night Vision Manufactures; SAE International and ALEA.  Jim has a degree in Electrical Technology.


Krystal Knapp
Financial Controller

Krystal Knapp has been Financial Controller at Hoffman since 2019. She started her career at Hoffman as a Staff Accountant managing Accounts Payable in 2015. Prior to Hoffman, Krystal worked as an Audit Associate for KPMG and then as a Staff Accountant at Waypoint Real Estate Investments. Krystal received her Bachelors in Accounting and her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Connecticut State University. Her 9+ years of experience bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her field and the company.


Tony Manias
Sr Director Of Engineering

Tony Manias joined Hoffman in 2017 and is responsible for planning and directing all Engineering and Program management functions of the company. Tony has over 16 years of experience in Engineering, R&D, Sales and Program Management. Tony experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry includes programs such as Block V Virginia Class subs, ENVG-B, CH47, VH92, KC46 and others. Tony holds an Engineering M.S. from the UNH, and a B.S. from the Merchant Marine Academy.


Carla Hill
Sr Director Contracts and Commercial

Carla Hill has been with Hoffman since 1992. Carla has held several positions within Hoffman over her 30 years of service, eventually serving as Vice President of Contracts and Business Unit Manager for the HES product line. Carla is responsible for the Hoffman Export Compliance Program, ensuring compliance to both ITAR and EAR regulations, serving as Hoffman’s Empowered Official. Carla has also led the Hoffman ISO 9001/AS9100 Program since 2016.


Laura Esposito
HR Business Partner

Laura Esposito has been with Hoffman since April 2013. Laura has held 2 positions within Hoffman, she started as an HR Manager and was promoted in 2018 to HR Business Partner. Laura has been in the HR industry for 19 years. Before Hoffman Laura worked at 2 other companies, Pitney Bowes Incorporated and Maxum Petroleum holding various Human Resource positions. She graduated with a BA in Sociology from Central Connecticut State University.
